Darrell Collins
Darrell Collins is a multi-disciplinary creator, UX designer, and software developer working at the intersection of human emotion, wellness, and technology.
With technical credentials including IBM Certified AI Developer and Google AI Essentials, Darrell operates as both a builder and a consultant. He designs prompts, architecture, and workflows to integrate generative AI safely and responsibly, and leads product design with a deep focus on user experience.
His work is driven by a personal conviction that technology should support the human being behind the screen. This philosophy inspired him to build Elyvia, an emotional intelligence companion designed for personal reflection and awareness. It also led to Walk With Me, his cinematic reflection series on YouTube (@TheSecondDraftlife) and TikTok (@walkwithdc) exploring growth, healing, resilience, and fatherhood.
Through Lumora Amor, Darrell strives to elevate mental wellness and create spaces where people—especially within the Black community—can slow down, express vulnerability, and feel less alone in their journeys.

We believe technology should do more than capture attention, increase productivity, or keep people endlessly engaged. It should also create space for people to slow down, understand what they are feeling, and reconnect with the parts of themselves that are often ignored.
That belief is at the center of everything we build.
Where Lumora Amor Began
Lumora Amor began with a deeply personal question: What would technology look like if it were created to support the human being behind the screen?
Our founder, Darrell Collins, recognized that many people grow up without being given the language, safety, or encouragement needed to express their emotions openly. Within many communities—especially the Black community—mental health and emotional vulnerability can still carry stigma. Black men and boys are often taught to remain strong by remaining silent, even when that silence becomes a burden.
Lumora Amor was founded to help challenge that idea. The company represents the belief that emotional expression is not weakness, compassion is not fragility, and caring for your mental wellness does not make you less powerful. It makes you more aware of yourself, your relationships, and the life you are creating.

Our cultural perspective is an important part of who we are. We want Black people to see themselves represented not only through struggle, trauma, or survival, but through healing, imagination, tenderness, parenthood, innovation, leadership, and joy.
We want young Black boys and girls to see that they can build companies, create technology, tell meaningful stories, and shape the future without abandoning who they are.
At the same time, Lumora Amor is not built exclusively for one community. The emotions we explore—the need to feel understood, supported, respected, and connected—are human experiences. Our foundation is culturally aware. Our invitation is universal.
What We Create
Lumora Amor develops products and experiences at the intersection of emotional intelligence, wellness, storytelling, and technology.
Our first major product, Elyvia, is an emotional intelligence companion designed to support reflection, meaningful conversation, personal growth, and emotional awareness. Elyvia represents our belief that technology can feel more thoughtful, more compassionate, and more present in people's lives.
Beyond Elyvia, Lumora Amor is building a wider ecosystem of experiences that includes reflective content, personal storytelling, wellness resources, and tools designed to help people navigate life with greater clarity and intention.

A future where families communicate with greater honesty, where people feel safer asking for support, and where technology strengthens human connection instead of replacing it.
